Holiday World or Bust

Today we went to Holiday World, thanks to Pilot and Needles for letting us have their tickets. We wanted to go but didn't want to spend a bunch of money to get rained out and Needles being under the weather and unable to use the free tickets that her work gives her, we benefited by going with only having the purchase a ticket for Yuri. We fibed and said Yin was still 2 years old so she could get in for free $29.00 cause she missed it by 5 weeks. OUCH. Thanks again Pilot and Needles, we will have to go out to eat together, my treat, as long as we make sure and clear our wardrobe plans prior to the dinner date.

This was Yin's first time at Holiday World. Mom aka Brando took Yin to the kiddie park while Yuri and I went on the Raven. Yuri got off the coaster and complained that his head hurt so that was that for roller coasters for the day. Upon meeting up with Mom and Yin, she informed me that Yin was being a pain with wanting to ride a ride only to wait in line, get on the ride and then when Mom stepped away from her, Yin would start crying wanting off the ride. She had done this three times in the time we left them and met up with them again. I then took her to the seahorses ride and put her on the ride and stepped away. She began to cry for me. I told the attendant, "Crank her up." The sea horses went up and down and round and round with Yin setting there with a sad little face making her sad kitty cat noises. When she got off, I figured that Yin would be OK to ride some other ride. We put her on the little fishes ride only to drag her off before it could start because she was crying again. Heaven help us with this child.

Yuri rode the Raven and the canoes and then we went to the Holidog kiddie park and the kids played in the water a bit. Since they were wet, we headed to the Splashin Safari to play in the water park. Mom and Yin headed to the Crocodile Isle kiddie area while Yuri and I headed to the lazy river. We made three trips around the met up with Mom and Yin. We all headed to the new wave pool and enjoyed the waves crashing on us until our toes looked like white California raisins. We had the pork chop sandwiches at the local eatery and headed back into the wave pool. After we looked like shivering dead pirates on Pirates on the Caribbean I. We got dressed and went back to the drier side of the park. We rode the Tin Lizzies and the Gobbler Getaway. Then Mom and Yuri rode the bumper cars. Had about 10 pounds of fudge and tried one more time at the kiddie area for Yin's sake. Nutten Doin... By now Yin was pretty well tuckered and wasn't gonna have any of it. Being everyone was pooped, we headed for the car. A lady asked me if we wanted our hands stamped for reentry. I said, "No thanks." but I wanted to say that I couldn't handle a reentry today. We had a lot of fun but Yin will have more fun when she gets a little older. Also Yuri will have a better time when he gets a little bigger too. The Legend and the Voyage were a little too big a coaster for him this time.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
