Tonight is suppose to be my last night on turnaround. I feel like a prisoner that is getting ready for a favorable parole hearing. I can't wait to get away from this place for a while, even if it is only for a day or two.
Since turnaround, here is a list of things I have missed:
1. Being able to console my family from the death of a family member.
2. Being able to console my family from the death of a family pet.
3. Being home to make sure my family was safe due to a earthquake.
4. My boys last 2 basketball games where I was told he did quite well.
5. Countless tumbling practices for my daughter.
6. Countless piano practices for my son.
7. Mowing my yard the first few times. My wife and kids had to pick up my slack.
These are just a few that I can come up with recently that happened. I am sure there are a ton more that I missed out on closer to the beginning.
I would just like to take this time to say thank you to all my family members and especially my wonderful wife and kids for putting up with me though the duration of this turnaround.

Shaken but yet to be stirred
This morning we are still a rockin and rollin from the recent earthquakes. We had a few people thought they felt something this morining about 12:30 amish an after a bit of wondering and checking the usgs.org site found that our feeling was legit. We had another sizable aftershock Monday, April 21, 2008 at 12:38:30 AM of a magnitude of 4.5 pretty close to where we have had the other aftershocks. Hope everyone slept through it.
Seepy Time
It is seepy time round here. It is past 4 in the morning and people on the night shift is falling out about the place. It looks like Jonestown the day after around here after they had the Kool-aid party. Yeah we are all felling a little draggy. I am really missing my bed right now. We have watched AVPR and Hot Rod tonight. AVPR is ***1/2 stars and Hot Rod is ** stars for its querky humor. I really liked the Footloose cutaway to an endless fall part. I giggled like a school girl. Well I think one of my fellow nights person has made it back to the shop and we are gonna watch a couple of episodes of Scubs so...... Have a good night night.

Whats this?! Another Post?!
Yep, I am having a hot streak of posting activity at the Rudy's Mems Blog. I am not sure where I found this abundance of energy to enter my name and password and make a difference in the world of blogging.
What is the most difficult part of blogging? Well that would be the topic of today's post. Some people will say it is coming up with a topic. Some will say that getting up the nerve to type what you are thinking on a somewhat public forum. While others will say that it is finding a relevant thought that conveys the feeling between blogger and reader.
However, I think the hardest part is to get a screwdriver under the G and H keys to pop them out of the keyboard. Why, you may ask? Because I need to make a space for my nose to fit while I am rolling my face back and forth across the keyboard. And THAT is what make an a award winning blog. I would categorize about 98% of my posts fall into this prestigious category. But what do I know. It is clinically proven that 11/10ths of the population have trouble with fractions.

Ramblings of a tired mind
If you dont know.....I am officially tired. I have been tired for a while..... Not sure exactly when it struck me but I do know that it has. What is the symptoms of a tired mind? Well lets list the ones that have entered my overworked pea size melon.
1. The improper us of common punctuation@
2, The inability to edit tipos>
4. Unable to figure out numeral order
1.5 Not able to have a coherent thought in said melon
E. What are nuumber?

There you have it the official way to figure out the worlds most official way to figure out the worlds most official way to get the right things you need to survive sleepfullnessly.
Thanks for tuning in to find out the mental state of the person taping his fingers on the keyboard. There maybe hope one day for some rest.

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!!
Hows everyone out there in blogger land???? Just wanted to drop a few lines to all those that tune in every six months or so to see if Rudy has gotten off his lazy A$$ to post. Well I have and it will be a dooooozy of a post.
What am I gonna post about you may ask? Well what else have I been doing for the last 6 months of my life.....working......and endless amount of work due to back to back, pushed back due to gas crack spreads (yes I said it.....CRACK SPREAD! he he he) Turnarounds. And we have yet another one in July through to August. How do I cope you may ask? Well the first thing you do is take all the photos of your life outside of work and shove them in a locker so you can see how happy you were when you had a family and a life.
The pictures that remind you that you had a life just depresses you anyway. I mean, who really needs a loving wife and two wonderful kids. By now I bet they don't even know who I am any more. All I need to do is send my money home and pull up a cot and stay here 24/7. I have everything a person could need right here......like conversing with idiots......frustration with simple tasks.........and a wall to bang my head against.....what more could a man want.
Is it selfish of me to want a normal life? For my kids to not look at me as a stranger as I drag myself through the house on the way to the bed? Yeah I bet it is. If I really needed it, my work would have provided it for me. Sorry for all the complaining but this post comes after working 30-12hr days straight and then being swung to 12 hr nights with about another week or so to go. All this while trying to deal with the death of a family member, a death of a family pet and an earthquake. When does the fun ever stop???? Please go outside and take a deep breath for me. I will be a bit before I will have the luxury.

Shirk Happens!
To all my blogger fans, I must admit that I have shirked my responsibilities in blogging. And with that I apologize. Around the first of December my work sent out an email to everyone that there was a huge dip in bandwidth in there company that was affecting performance of the business communication with Findlay, Ohio. One of the problems that could have caused this dip is the fact that there has been abnormal traffic to youtube.com and personal blogs. Therefore you are not to go to those sites or suffer the consequences. So there in a nutshell is why I haven't blogged because I use to do most of it while I was at work and on breaks. This will cool down in a bit and the majority of the employees will start slowly going back to those sites but until the cool down period has expired I will have to blog from home. Sorry it took me so long. Maybe I will set a record and post 2 posts in January. Everyone hold your breath........

Another Day in Turnaround
We came into work on this rainy day hoping to have some work to do. In our line of work we are one of the last ones in to get our stuff done and if some of the crafts ahead of us take too long to get there jobs done then it shortens the amount of time we have to get our stuff done and then you have managment on your back to get your job done so they can start up the units. It is very upsetting to have work you need to get done and you try to get done and when you go back the next day it is all ripped back out. So now we wait to get to do our job........It is a very long wait. Hope everyone had a great turkey day.

Happy Turkey Day
I hope everyone is having a grand Turkey day. I am stuck here at work and wondering why I am here. We got most of our work done and the rest will have to wait till tomorrow. They say that we will be able to leave after only 10 hours but we will see if that is true. I hope to be home sometime after 6 pm to spend what is left of Thanksgiving with Brando and the kids. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday because I know now that you dont really really miss it until you cant have it. Hope to have this all over with before Christmas. Wish me luck....

Long Hiatis (sp)
I haven't posted in a day or two so i thought i would take this time to let everyone know that I am quiting my job and going to be a professional World of War craft player. Yep you heard it right. I can level up my characters and then sell them on ebay for allot of $$. I have already turned in my two weeks notice and should be building multiple characters shortly. Why go to work and have to deal with turnarounds and idiots when I can make money at home and spend time with my lovely wife and kids. And if any of you really think I would be stupid enough to do this then you might know me all to well. Just kidding I am still working Turnaround and ready for it to be over with. Wish me luck and the Wolf Creek Cemetery site has 2007 pics and better rez videos on it as we type so make sure and visit. Sorry to have neglected my blogging dooties. he he he.....he said dooty.

Like I said.... In 3s.
A few days ago we were looking in the pond and for a while now we have seen a little black shadow of a fish. It is much smaller than the rest so we suspect that it has spawned in the pond. Well after waiting for it to get a little bigger to get a better look we have see that there is not just one fish but at least three new smaller fish. We are pretty excited over the new arrivals and cant wait for them to grow so they are easier to see and are not so quick. I cant even think about netting them because they are lightening fast. Hope to see more new fish in the future. Lost two but gained three.

The Clock Strikes 2!

Since my last post, death has struck two fish down in there prime. Both due to my error. I feel sorry for the little guys. One was the Oranda of the previous post. He made it a day or two after posting and then had a flushing party. Words were said over the bowl, it was a beautiful ceremony. Then Friday I was cleaning the filters in the pond and didn't notice a nosy little comet decided to get down in the filter with the pump. Sunday when I cleaned the filter, there was the little comet all pasty and stinky. He got thrown in the ditch. He was a little big to flush. I hope that the ole grim reaper is gone for now but they say it happens it threes. I wonder who is next?????

All OK but 1
All my fishies are doing OK except one. An Oranda that has been seen laying at the bottom of the tank and sometimes upside down. I have treated these fish with everything I know to keep them alive. I am not sure what will come from today. The tank is in Yuris room so I dont dare turn on the light an inspect what has happened in the morning. I just have to wait until I get home to check out how they are all doing. I hope my poor little Bubble Head makes it....

Sickly Fishies
A couple of weeks ago one of my fish that has bug eyes looked like one of his eyes was a little larger than the other. I kept an eye on him (No pun intended) and in a couple of days it was really noticeably bigger and with investigation and Googling told me he suffered from an infection called Popeye. That night I made a run to the store to get a remedy for my ailing fish and cooped him up and placed him in the aquarium where I will treat him and his tank mates. After a full week of the remedy, I still don't notice an improvement but I think it has stopped getting worse. Hopefully time will tell if his eye will go back to normal. While this was going on we decided to put the tank in Yuri's room. So we drained the tank about 2/3 rds empty and moved the tank. I filled the tank half way full and let it set about an hour with the aerator running to help get rid of the chlorine in the water. Then I filled the tank up and finally found my chemical dechlorinator and added it in. I noticed the fish acting lethargic and sleepy but it is darker in his room than where it normally sat. After a day I could tell the fish were obviously stressed big time. They lay at the bottom of the tank barely moving there gills to breath. I started to notice little white dots on the Black moor Goldfish aka Bo Bo. I quickly went over to my Mom in laws house and got her Ick remedy and added to the tank as well as adding the Popeye remedy to help with any other baddies in the tank. Yesterday morning the tank was still with stressed out fishies but by time I got home last night the fishes looked like they where back to normal. Unfortunately the stress has reeked havoc with the Orandas fins. Hopefully in time she will look back to normal again. I feel so bad for what these little fish have gone through.
Gettin around to Postin
I am finally going to post my review on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I was a pretty good movie. It was long and if they put every aspect of the book into this movie it would have been about another hour and a half tacked on to it. Most things were pretty well as the book describes so I will give it 4 and a half stars out of 5. I think the way they did the dementors in this movie is a lot more creepier. I have mixed feelings about seeing the next movie and I know that Brando is anxiously awaiting this weekend where she will pick up her book at a Harry Potter party at midnight. Have a nice weekend everyone.

New Addictions
A couple of guys at work are playing World of Warcraft. Since December of last year our days have been filled with talkings and goings on in the WOW world. Clod started as I said last December while Skeeter held out until May. I am the last hold out to cave because I started last night. It is highly addictive and I can see how people can get obsessed with the game. I worked late last night so I got a late start. I got on basically as soon as I got home and stayed on till 11:30 pm. I didn't sleep to well thinking about how to play the game and I hope this game does not ruin the rest of the summer. I really like to play but I can see where if I don't play in moderation it will cause problems. I recommend this game but only if you don't have a addictive personality.
Also I am really excited about tonight. Tonight Brando, Hope, Clod, Yuri and I will be going to see the new Harry Potter movie. I cant wait. I am so glad that Brando asked her mom to watch Yin so we can go out for the evening. I will make sure and give a review of the movie in the next posts.

Dumber than dirt
I cant believe how unbelievably stupid I am. Our pool has been running a bit high in Ph so I purchased some Ph minus to bring down the alkalinity. I tested the pool and also noticed the chlorine level was low too. So to kill one pool owner with one bottle I decided to put the two in one bottle and add to the pool water. I added water and shook the bottle and poured the contents into the pool. With quit a bit of powdery residue in the bottom of the container I repeated by filling with water and capping and a vigorous shake and pour. On the third time I must have finally got the chlorine and the Ph minus powder to mix because the bottle started to swell and heat up quickly. I started to uncap the bottle but it started to spew. I held the bottle under the water level and loosened the cap and it just about exploded in my hands releasing a cloud of vapor that burned my lungs and took my breath away. I rinsed the last of the toxic mixture into the pool and capped the clean bottle when I noticed my arms starting to burn. I quickly washed the chlorine and Ph minus (acid) mixture from my arms. After coughing like I had just smoked a cigarette store, I sat by the pond and pondered what a dumb ass I was. After I caught my breath and my lungs didn't quite burn so much I walked into the garage to look at the container. It says in BIG print "DON'T MIX WITH ANY OTHER POOL CHEMICALS!!!" Like I said I am a complete dumb ass. It has been about two hours since my exposure and my lungs and throat still burn a bit. I told Brando if I don't make it thought the night make sure and write on my grave marker, "Died being a dumb ass!" I think it would be fitting. Everyone in Blogger land dont worry about me, I am sure I will go out in an even dumber way than this.

New Transformers Trailer
Just saw it and I must say that it was pretty good. I was a little too busy to follow in parts and sometimes I was confused about which bot was good and which was bad but I would give it a high 4 out of 5.

(Heres a picture of the Fireworks from my camera.....Just kiddin I borrowed the picture from Google.)
Since my last post, alot of things have happened in my life. Here are just the major ones.
1. My mom in law broke her arm trying to help hold a horse steady.
2. My parents came up to visit us for fire works.
3. My cousins and there better halves came up to visit for fire works.
4. My aunt and uncle came up to visit for fire works.
5. My brother and I got a year older.
6. We put 6 new fish in the pond.
I must say that I dont think I could have had a more pleasant weekend than we had. The only way it could have been better is if it was longer. I am really glad that Bean Boy, Mrs Bean Boy, Cynical, Ragged, Aunt R, Uncle A and of course my parents was able to make it up to visit on such a wonderful holiday. I hope everyone went home with a full belly and hoping to make it back up North soon. We will try to make it Southways as soon as we can.

Home again
I made it home Friday evening and have been trying to catch up on all the stuff that I normally do. Yesterday we went to pick up a few things from Eville and stopped at the Old Mill Resteraunt at around 9 pm for supper. After we ate until we were about to explode, we rolled into the van and arrived home after 10 pm. The kids were wiped and so were we. This morning we woke up and started straightening up the house. We cleaned the kitchen cabinets and the fridge out. After that we went for a swim to cool off. It was nice to relax in the pool. We all dried off and came inside to some lunch and took a quick nap. What a nice relaxing day as long as you dont spend alot of time outside.
